a colorful, tropical wedding ceremony at Lindquist Beach and wedding reception at Villa Serenita, St. Thomas, USVI
One of the reasons I love weddings at vacation villas is being able to wake up and leisurely get dressed instead of racing around and rushing to pack up everything and head to another location to get ready. Usually, the girls start the process much earlier, sipping on champagne and starting the beauty services routine bright and early. The guys, on the other hand, tend to be in the pool until the very last minute. And this wedding was no exception.
One of my favorite details of this wedding were the fun robes that Jennifer and her bridesmaids wore. Jennifer’s robe was white lace (to coordinate with her elegant wedding dress). And the bridesmaids’ robes were peach with a tropical foliage print, which was the theme of the day.
Once everyone was dressed, it was a short ride to Lindquist Beach where the ceremony took place.
Lindquist Beach is a quiet beach on the east end of St. Thomas that features world famous white sand and crystal-clear, blue water. In the late afternoon, the light is very soft and the backdrop is simply dreamy for a wedding.
For Jennifer and Evan’s ceremony, performed by St. Thomas wedding officiant, Island Mike we set up a traditional bamboo arbor backdrop draped with white fabric and tropical floral arrangements featuring a mixture of tropical and traditional flowers in bright colors designed by Roses Too.
To complement the tropical look, bamboo garden chairs were decorated with smaller greenery and floral touches along the aisle. All of which looked fantastic with the dusty peach bridesmaids dresses.

And for dessert, guests enjoyed a Caribbean twist on a classic with vanilla cake, passion fruit curd filling, and vanilla frosting along with other tropical fruit-filled cupcakes as well.
Thank you so much for that awesome wedding day! I enjoyed every second of it!
