Every time I look back on these photos from Kalaya and Nelly’s magical wedding in St. Thomas, I can’t help but smile from ear to ear for two reasons. First because Kalaya and Nelly were such an amazing couple. And second because this was the very first wedding on which I worked with the lovely and talented Megan Biggs.

LET’S TRY THIS AGAIN
When Kalaya first contacted me, she knew she wanted a fun beach wedding with family and friends who were joining her aboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas but she was incredibly frustrated with trying to book her wedding through the cruise lines.
While she wanted something ‘different’ from the standard one-size-fits-all package what they offered, she also wanted an easy planning experience to go along with her casual style. As we got to talking, everything seemed to just click and fall into place.
Magens Bay was of course the perfect choice for her wedding and BBQ luncheon reception under the seagrape trees and dreamy dining canopy.
in terms of decor, this wedding was pretty simple. Soft pinks with pops of deeper pink for the bouquet and some local flowers for simple conch shell centerpieces, lining the aisle and on the cake.
With the white wedding dining canopy, the floral colors were perfect against the bright green backdrop of tropical foliage and the brilliant blue Caribbean water.
Amber did an amazing job. I could not have had a more perfect wedding. I just conveyed what I wanted to Amber and she executed everything (cake, food, photography, video, transportation) flawlessly. I was so impressed and my guests had a very memorable experience. I am so glad that I found Blue Sky Ceremony. Amber, Mike, and her vendors were absolutely amazing.
