Melanie & Rich

a wedding at the St. Thomas Reformed Church & Reception at Havana Blue Restaurant

WHO LOVES A MAN IN UNIFORM? ME, ME, ME!

AND MELANIE!

That’s really all you need to know about this gorgeous and classic wedding. Just keep scrolling because MEN (that’s right, more than one) in uniform to come!

But in all seriousness, check out this Melanie and Rich’s beautiful wedding captured by Megan Biggs Photography.

This was one of my more ‘traditional’ weddings, being that it was held at the historic St. Thomas Reformed Church in downtown Charlotte Amalie.

The St. Thomas Reformed Church (STRC) is one of my favorite churches for weddings on St. Thomas. It is stunning, and exactly what you’d expect for a 200 year old chuch, built in the heart of the Caribbean.

The old world architecture, wooden pews and open windows make this church so welcoming and inviting.

When you get married at a beautiful church like this, you really don’t need a lot in terms of decor.

A few flowers lining the aisle and a gorgeous bouquet is just enough.

Thanks for helping me keep my SANITY.

– MELANIE & RICH

After the ceremony, the bride and groom had a photo advenutre downtown and at the beach while guests headed for cocktails at Sand Bar Restaurant at Morningstar Beach (the Marriott Frenchman’s Reef).

Dinner was held upstairs at Havana Blue restaurant.

Pro tip: Always build in a little time for yourselves between the ceremony and reception.
