Carol & Robert

an intimate vow renewal and reception dinner at Villa Serenita, St. Thomas

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF VOW RENEWALS. THERE’S THE TYPE WHERE A COUPLE ESCAPES THEIR BUSY LIVES TO REAFFIRM THEIR LOVE PRIVATELY AND THERE’S THE TYPE WHERE FAMILY AND CLOSE FRIENDS ARE THERE TO CELEBRATE. NEITHER OPTION IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER.

Carol and Robert’s vow renewal was the latter type. Not only where they recommitting to each other, but they were celebrating the committment to their family as well.

Check out these photos from Savanah Loftus who was there to capture the evening.

Together with their children, children’s spouses, children’s children and siblings, Carol and Robert hopped on a plane and headed to a tiny island in the Caribbean for a once in a lifetime vacation and celebration of their life together.

The ceremony and celebration dinner was held at Villa Serenita, a vacation rental villa on the east end of St. Thomas. After the ceremony and couple’s portraits, we spent quite a bit of time taking family photos during the cocktail hour.

Just before sunset, the bride and groom and guests were seated for an intimate poolside dinner.

After the vow renewal ceremony, dinner was held poolside. I love this table set up. The rattan chargers and emerald green glassware was perfect for a modern, Caribbean look.

And what celebration would be complete without a cake. In this case, tres leches with mango filling set atop an octopus cake stand (my favorite).

We were looking for an easy ceremony and a fine meal to celebrate. Amber did a GREAT JOB!  Everyone had a great time!
