Mr. & Mrs. M
an ultra-romantic vacation villa wedding in St. Thomas, USVI
Turned off by the prospect of planning the obligatory big wedding at home, Mr. & Mrs. M wanted to run away and elope somewhere fun and warm. Often though, elopements are one-sized-fits-all, impersonal wedding packages.
Mrs. M in particular wanted to be able to go through the process of her wedding day: the preparing the bride, the dress, the walk down the aisle, the dance, the commitment.
In fact, they enjoyed the process so much, the day after their wedding, while sitting by the pool, soaking up the Caribbean sun, they decided that regardless of where they were, they would renew their vows each year on their anniversary.
I keep their date my calendar and look forward to their “we’re checking in…again” email and try to guess the location.
Take a look at some of my favorite photos that really capture the day by the lovely and talented Megan Biggs.
Mr. & Mrs. M’s romantic elopement wedding ceremony was held at one of my favorite wedding venues: Villa Serenita, located on the east end of St. Thomas.
Afterwards, they went down to Vessup Bay for a few photos on the beach, followed by dinner at the Ritz-Carlton.
Words cannot express how great Amber is. The wedding industry has gotten so carried away that many forget about what the moment is actually about. Amber embraced my desire to have a ceremony to celebrate my love for an incredible man and to be surrounded by the beauty of St. Thomas. Amber took my simple vision and transformed it into a beautiful afternoon and start of my life with my husband. She didn’t push for more than I wanted and had such a well-organized business.
We rented Villa Serenita for our ceremony and there is simply no place more beautiful. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the grounds and home are lovely. Amber was so well organized that day but also very relaxed as well. Although I had to restrain myself from running down the aisle, I can see that her demeanor and professionalism would be great for any jittery brides or grooms. In addition, I can see that she would have a great calming way to get pushy in-laws or opinionated people from interfering with the wedding as well.
I can assure you that she will stick to your budget and deliver your dream wedding without you having to think of every single detail. I actually encourage you not to think of every single detail. That is Amber’s expertise. I trusted her completely. For example, she asked what I wanted for my bouquet and wedding colors. I told her I wanted the colors of St. Thomas. In turn, she chose a gorgeous bouquet that was perfect. She even incorporated a ribbon and wove flowers through my tennis racket and used our rackets for decoration as we met playing tennis.
Amber’s wedding guide was a great resource and her a-business model allows you to custom tailor your wedding—you only spend money where it makes sense. She is also great with the wedding license process. Her recommendations for wedding hair & makeup, videographer and photographer were spot on. The icing on the cake was our particular officiant just happened to be from Boston as is my husband so the accents added such a great personal touch to the ceremony. When friends see our wedding pictures and video, they truly are moved and express how unique our special day was. Seems like every day we talk about our wedding and Amber is always mentioned in our reminiscing. Thank you Amber for sharing your talents with us.
