Elizabeth & Tony

BEFORE WE TALK ABOUT ELIZABETH AND TONY’S WEDDING, I NEED TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT WHOOPIE PIES.

So all of my New England brides know of my obsession. And if you’re from Maine, take this as fair warning: you don’t have to serve whoopie pies as your wedding dessert, but…you’re contractually obligated to bring whoopie pies for me.

Well, Elizabeth set the bar high for the rest of you. You see, when I started working with Elizabeth, I was expecting my youngest. And her wedding would be my last until his arrival. On her wedding day, she had the most amazing present a two hundred and fifty month pregnant mom-to-be could imagine. Fresh, HOMEMADE whoopi pies courtesy of her awesome sister.

I’ve eaten more whoopi pies than I care to admit in a public forum. And these were hands down, the best ever.

So enough reminiscing about the pies and back to Elizabeth and Tony’s gorgeous wedding:

LET’S TRY THIS AGAIN

Elizabeth & Tony

a wedding at Lindquist Beach & Villa Serenita

Planning Elizabeth and Tony’s wedding was a blast. Not only did I know that whoopie pies were on the way, Elizabeth was a bride who was not afraid of color.

Coral is a very popular hue for Caribbean destination weddings. But when brides say ‘coral’, they really mean ‘salmon’, ‘guava’, ‘flamingo’ – basically colors that aren’t as deep or rich as the true definition of the color coral.

NOT ELIZABETH. SHE WANTED VIBRANT, ENERGETIC, AND SHOW STOPPING.

The wedding ceremony was held at Lindquist beach and in terms of decor, less was more. Just family, friends, a few chairs and bright flowers were all that were needed to set the scene for the exchange of vows.

The reception was held at vacation rental property, Villa Serenita, located on the east end of St. Thomas.

And everything was captured by Megan Biggs Photography. Thank you, Megan, for these fantastic photos of Elizabeth and Tony’s wedding.

On it’s own, Villa Serenita is a pretty dreamy venue for a wedding reception. But the coral linens and lighting really transformed the house and gave it a tropical garden look.

As you know, I love all of the personal details at a wedding. And for this one, I especially loved the bar details, instapic guest book, and the ice cream sundae dessert station.

A fairy tale wedding and family vacation! The villa absolutely exceeded all expectations!! It is morebeautiful and breathtaking in person!!  I would highly recommend it to any brides to be. The perfect spot for your fairytale wedding!
